Lübeck – With 237 foil fencers from all over Germany and Denmark, HFC Lübeck recorded a record number of participants this year at the traditional Seven Towers Tournament on September 30th and October 1st in the Burgfeldhalle. The Hanseatic Fencing Club alone sent 35 fencers of all ages to the skies – with some success and eleven podium places.

The first-placed Xichao Zhang (U9), Julie Großmann (U17) and Hans-Martin Raeker (seniors) were happy about a beautiful glass trophy. Likewise Victor Korzewski (U9), Erik Villhauer (U11), Antonia Scheel (U15), Hilke Kollmetz and Mathias Burchardt (seniors) for second place and Willem Hansen (U15), Jonah Burchardt (U17) and Maximilian Klötzer (seniors) for second place 3rd place. A good result for the club with head coach Friederike Janshen, who was delighted with the performances of all her protégés who competed.
