Nearly one million visitors visited entertainment and leisure venues during National Day
On Monday afternoon, September 4, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department announced that after four days off on National Day (September 2), the number of visitors to tourist attractions and the city’s entertainment areas were estimated at 960,000, up 4.3% from the same period in 2022.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City welcomed around 420,000 domestic tourists, up 15% from the same period in 2022. The number of international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City is estimated at 37,600, up 14 .5% compared to the same period in 2022.
At the same time, the number of tourists staying in accommodation establishments was around 162,000, up 24.6% compared to the same period in 2022. The room occupancy rate stands at 80%, up 6.7% compared to the same period in 2022. Revenue is estimated at 2.890 billion VND, an increase of 5.5% compared to the same period in 2022.
In particular, the visit program of the headquarters of the People’s Council and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, which was one of the main activities of the National Day, attracted 65 groups of visitors, totaling 1,614 tourists. The Tourism Department of Ho Chi Minh City also announced that it will continue to welcome visitors to the headquarters of the People’s Council and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City until the end of 2023.

Various activities
Various activities took place during the four holidays. The cultural and tourist area of Suôi Tiên, a very attractive destination, welcomed around 70,000 visitors, including around 25,000 on September 2. According to the representative of the cultural and tourist area of Suôi Tiên, the majority of them are from Ho Chi Minh City, as well as provinces and cities in the Southeast and Southwest. Attractions that have appealed to visitors include grape and coconut farms, a snow castle, children’s play areas, as well as art programs such as the Son Tinh legend dramatization and Thuy Tinh, a drum and trumpet show to celebrate the National Day and the 28th anniversary of Suôi Tiên, as well as a cultural and artistic exchange program between ASEAN member countries, Cuba and China.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department, on this year’s National Day, the locality held many exciting activities for locals and tourists. These activities included a photo exhibition, lion and dragon performances, drumming festival, martial arts performances (vovinam, wushu, traditional martial arts, taekwondo, etc.), artistic fireworks, hot-air balloon shows, as well as a half-marathon called “Thu Duc City 2023”.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism program has attracted a large number of domestic and foreign visitors.
