Record-breaking Number of Passengers on Whoosh Fast Train from Jakarta to Bandung

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Fast Car Indonesia-China (KCIC) recorded the number of passengers on the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train or Fast Train Whoosh reached 18,000 passengers on Saturday (4/11/2023).

This number is the highest record ever fast car Whoosh was commercially operated on October 17 2023. KCIC also added 4 train trips this weekend to meet high demand.

KCIC Main Director Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi said the public was enthusiastic about using it Whoosh fast car on weekends it is very high. The majority of weekend trips are for vacation, followed by business, work and other purposes.

The number of trips was again increased by 4 train trips for this weekend, bringing a total of 32 regular Whoosh Fast Train trips available.

“This number is the highest number of trips per day since the Whoosh Fast Train was operated,” said Dwiyana in his statement, Sunday (5/11/2023).

In detail, the Whoosh Fast Train passenger volume on Saturday 4 November 2023 reached 18,053 passengers with an occupancy rate of 94-100 percent.

This number increased by 33 percent compared to the previous week on Saturday 28 October 2023 with a volume of 13,490 passengers.

“The increase occurred due to an increase in trips by 28 percent from 25 trips per day to 32 trips per day to accommodate the still high number of public requests for Whoosh Fast Train trips,” he explained.

Dwiyana also appealed to Whoosh Fast Train passengers to pay attention to the departure schedule. Because the train leaves on time and cannot wait for passengers.

The boarding gate will close 5 minutes before the train departs. So passengers are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure so as not to miss out.

He confirmed that KCIC periodically evaluates the Whoosh fast train service, including evaluating train travel schedules, integration of transportation modes, facilities in the station area and passenger services.

“Evaluation of services and operations will continue to be carried out with all stakeholders to provide a comfortable, safe and secure Whoosh Fast Train service,” concluded Dwiyana.
