Today, Saturday, Aswan governorate witnessed a sharp rise in temperatures, and the maximum temperature reached 46 degrees, the highest temperature recorded in Egypt during that very heat wave that hit the country.
Despite the high temperatures, there is movement in the streets and markets, and a number of tourists were seen strolling on the Nile Corniche in Aswan.
The Meteorological Authority expected that very hot, humid weather would prevail in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai and the south of the country, hot and humid on the northern coasts, and a hot, humid night all over.
The Authority also expected the presence of water clouds in the morning on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, the Canal cities, and central Sinai.
While a number of regions in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai and the south of the country witness intermittent wind activity.
As for the state of the Mediterranean, it will be light to moderate, with wave heights ranging from one to 1.75 meters, and northwesterly surface winds. As for the Red Sea, it will be moderate, with wave heights ranging from one and a half to two meters, and northwesterly surface winds.
