Record-breaking Bayern Munich: 9 goals against Dinamo Zagreb. Real suffers but wins

The premiere was overwhelming Bayern who, dragged by a poker of Kanebecomes the first team to score 9 goals in the Champions League by beating them 9-2 Dinamo Zagreb. Suffering debut for reigning champions Real Madrid in the Champions League. Ancelotti’s men only manage to beat an excellent Stuttgart (3-1) towards the end. Aston Villa (0-3 in Bern against Toung Boys) and Sporting Lisbon (2-0 against Lille) also won and convinced.

BAYERN-DINAMO ZAGABRIA 9-2

SPORTING LISBON-LILLE 2-0
With a goal in each half, Sporting beat Lille and started off on the right foot in the Champions League. Gyokeres broke the deadlock in the 39th minute with a precise right-footed shot following an assist from the left by Pedro Gonçalves. Lille got nervous and in the 43rd minute were left with 10 men for the second yellow card in 19′ given by Angel Gomes. Sporting thanks them and in the 65th minute secures the victory with an extraordinary right-footed shot under Debast’s 28-metre cross.
