The attendance record for an event female athlete was beaten on Wednesday in a match of volley which brought together 92,003 people who came to watch the victory of the Huskers university team over Omaha at Memorial Stadium at the University of Nebraska, in the UNITED STATES. The previous record dated from April 22, 2022. 91,648 people then attended the semi-final first leg of the Champions League football between Barcelona and Wolfsburg at Camp Nou.
This is the highest number of spectators reached in Memorial Stadium, which usually hosts the Nebraska American football team. Nebraska Athletics officials had that goal in mind when they announced “Volleyball Day” in February. “I hope the number of participants will be large enough that no one dares to challenge our record,” said Trev Alberts, athletic director of the university.

The Huskers swept Omaha 25-14, 25-14, 25-13 on Wednesday in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women’s College Volleyball Championship. By way of comparison, the previous record set for such a meeting was 18,755 people, in Columbus in 2021, during a match between Wisconsin and Nebraska.
Finally, the previous record for a women’s event in the United States dates back to July 10, 1999. On that day, 90,185 people had attended the final of the Women’s Football World Cup between the United States and China at the Rose Bowl. of Pasadena, California.
