Dozens of masterpieces, including Picasso, Klimt, Van Gogh, Cézanne, Monet, Matisse, Hopper and Magritte, went under the hammer at Sotheby’s auction house in New York last night. For example, the painting by Picasso “Femme nue couchée jouant avec un chat” was paid more than 21 million dollars (or almost 19.5 million euros).
