Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) posted a net profit of IDR 18.3 trillion in 2022. This figure is up 68% compared to net profit in 2021.
Main Director of BNI, Royke Tumilaar said the net profit realization was higher than the estimate. In fact, this realization is far above the pre-pandemic achievement and is the highest record in BNI’s history.
Just so you know, in 2019, BNI’s net profit reached IDR 15.3 trillion.
“It is the result of a combination of business growth strategies prudent, selective. Our credit grows 10.9% on an annual basis with a source of growth from customers who are of course of good quality,” said Royke at the BBNI Earnings Call FY2022 event, Tuesday (24/1).
This selective lending, Royke explained, had an impact on improving asset quality ratio loan at risk (LaR) BNI fell from 23% to 16% and the credit fee rate or cost of credit decrease from 3.3% to 1.9% in 2022.
