The lawyer of the Save Steaua Association, Virgil Boglea, admitted that one of the ideal solutions is for the two clubs to merge.
High Court of Cassation and Justice (ÊCCJ) decided to send the case for retrial in the record process between CSA Steaua and FCSB.
Thus, the decision taken on the merits by the Bucharest Court remains in force – which awarded CSA Steaua the record from 1947-2003, i.e. including the AFC Steaua period (1998-2003).

CSA Steaua specified, in a press release, after the High Court of Cassation and Justice decided to re-judge the records process, that there is no act by which FCSB can prove that it took over the records and that Steaua does not mean only football, but is ” a social phenomenon with several sports disciplines”.
