Anyone looking to cool off these days is in the right place at Lake Walen. Thanks to its location in the middle of a valley surrounded by high rock faces, the water is much more refreshing than, for example, in Lake Constance. And yet some things are reminiscent of the south. When you dive into the turquoise water, you think you are in the Caribbean for a few moments. And on the shore grow palm, fig and chestnut trees.
