ENSIPEDIA.ID, KENDAL – The sun is the largest star in our solar system which is the center where the heavenly bodies revolve around the sun in -shaped paths ellipse.
The surface of the sun has a temperature of 6,000 degrees Celsius, while the core can reach 15-20 million degrees Celsius. However, it turns out that the sun can also dim, you know! This phenomenon is known as Solar Minimum.
Solar Minimum occurs periodically every 11 years. Well, scientists from the United States Space Agency (NASA) say we are currently in the G . phaserand Solar Minimum, the last time this occurred in 1650-1715. In just 65 years, the Northern Hemisphere experienced another small ice age.
But take it easy, Grand Solar Minimum this time it won’t have that bad effect. In fact, NASA itself says that this activity will only have an impact on the frequency of outer space weather events and will not disturb the climate on Earth.
“The warming due to greenhouse gas emissions from the burning of fossil fuel energy by humans is six times greater (the effect) than the decades-long cooling by the prolonged Grand Solar Minimum,” they said.
Even if Grand Solar Minimum occurs for 1 century, the temperature on Earth will continue to warm. This is because other factors are far more dominant in making climate change on Earth than a reduction in solar activity.
Therefore, there is a need for alternatives that limit the use of fossil fuels as the largest contributor to greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming.
