Lechner highlighted the significant increase in apprentices in Styria last year (+9.8 percent) following the years affected by the pandemic. However, despite this positive trend, companies are still struggling to find apprentices, with over 1,200 apprenticeships available but only 700 individuals actively seeking them, according to data from the AMS.
