  • Pregnant women and women up to two weeks after delivery
  • People with weak immune systems
  • People who have chronic diseases, such as asthma, heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, and diabetes
  • Very obese people with a body mass index (BMI) of 40 or higher
  • Although the annual influenza vaccine is not 100 percent effective at preventing the flu.

But, still, the flu vaccine is still the best defense against the flu.
