Apart from the onset of fever symptoms, another thing that can be seen from children affected by TB is a reduced enthusiasm for activities. “He became lazy, had no appetite, then lost weight.”

Especially for children, he added, there needs to be tracing where the source of transmission is. This is important because TB cases in children are likely to be transmitted from adults.

“Children usually get it from positive adults. We have to find close contact in the boy’s house. “
