Recognition of Ojol Drivers after being injected with the Covid-19 Vaccine: Drowsiness, Hunger and Abstinence Page all

KOMPAS.com – An online motorcycle taxi driver named Fadly (32), a resident who lives in the Kopo area, Bandung district, West Java, who volunteers for clinical trials of vaccine candidates Covid-19 made by Sinovac admitted that there were no side effects after the vaccine was injected into his body.

However, said Fadly, he only felt heavy drowsiness and hunger. Not only that, he also felt his body temperature rise, but it was still in a natural state.

“At first (the injection) I was very sleepy, I thought I rarely slept, but I couldn’t resist my sleepiness. When I woke up, I felt good and had a high appetite,” said Fadly when contacted, Friday (14/8/2020).

Still said Fadly, after the vaccination was injected into his body, there were several taboos that should not be done. One of them is taking several types of drugs.

“There is a prohibition, what I remember is that one type of medicine is not allowed to be eaten, because it can reduce immunity. But other activities are allowed, even after being vaccinated I will continue again,” he said.

In participating in the clinical trial, Fadly is not alone. He volunteers with his six families, including his wife and mother.

Fadly and three family members were injected with a vaccine candidate last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, three other family members are still waiting their turn.

“My wife, brother, Mama, sister-in-law and two other brothers volunteered,” he said.

It is not without reason that Fadly wants to participate in the clinical trial. Family safety is the main reason.

The reason is, his activity as a motorcycle taxi online considered quite vulnerable to exposure to the corona virus.

“The biggest reason for me and my family. I work as an online driver, the risk of being exposed is quite large. If there is a vaccine, I will definitely participate, because I don’t want to bring the virus home, especially when there are three small children,” he said.

He also hopes that his participation as a volunteer can improve his physical condition so that he is immune from the Covid-19 virus.

“This is a free vaccine, so come along. If later it’s complicated. After seeing the effect, there’s nothing, come along,” he said.
