In a morning press conference at the National Palace, he assured that support will continue to be provided to athletes who participate in international events such as the Pan American Games or the Olympics. “Support has been provided to all of them and we will continue to do so.”
“We are proud. There are questions, this is normal in a truly democratic society, there can be no single way of thinking, we cannot protest with clenched teeth, we must guarantee the right to dissent, and we must trust our people.”
He insisted that “the results are there,” after recalling that Mexico won five Olympic medals, three of them silver and two bronze.
