When graphic designer Klaus Lelgemann was playing around on the PC out of boredom in the spring, a new marketing idea happened by chance. And by the way: a separate fashion line.

As a freelance graphic designer, Klaus Lelgemann puts the company in the right light, advertises the third division club “Viktoria Köln”, for care services, a knitwear label, the toy wholesaler and so on. Coincidentally, a new marketing idea for cities came up in the spring. Now the graphic artist has designed a city silhouette collection.

Collections designed for Stadtlohn, Marl and Recklinghausen

Klaus Lelgemann designed the first collection for his adopted home Stadtlohn. What was actually meant “out of jokes and dolls” quickly turned out to be a best seller. The T-shirts, baby rompers, sweatshirts, aprons, floor mats & Co. with the city skyline are well received. After Gelsenkirchen-Buer (“That’s where I was born”) and Marl-Polsum (“That’s where I grew up”), Recklinghausen (“I used to be there often and there is great architecture there”) is making a big splash in fashion.

Striking buildings from Recklinghausen

In addition to the most beautiful town hall in North Rhine-Westphalia, the city wall tower at the Castel Sant’Angelo, the old fire station, the King Ludwig winding tower, the guest church, the König Ludwig colliery, the old pharmacy and St. Peter are immortalized above the Recklinghausen lettering. The “Mein Revier” logo is added to this. “This is how you can make a nice statement for your city with a T-shirt,” says the designer. Artistically, the whole thing is not rocket science, but he is proud of the marketing idea. There is a more detailed report in our e-paper.

T-shirts and Co .:

The Recklinghausen city silhouette is available in many colors on t-shirts, hoodies, baby rompers, cooking aprons, on floor mats and other materials. The T-shirt costs 22.95 euros. Klaus Lelgemann also produces art prints on individual request. The collection can be ordered at www.shirtee.com/de/store/recklinghausen/.
