Recife has reached six deaths caused by the H3N2 flu virus, the new strain of Influenza that has been causing an unseasonable epidemic in the country. The number of infections already totals more than 1,200 in the capital.
The three most recent cases were confirmed in the laboratory yesterday by the Recife Health Secretary and were aged 46, 68 and 69 years old.
In the state, five deaths from flu and 1,592 confirmed cases have already been searched, more than half among people aged between 20 and 39 years.
On Tuesday (28), Governor Paulo Câmara announced that Pernambuco will expand the number of specific beds for treating cases of Influenza A, in addition to strengthening the Atende em Casa team.
