The rumor mill flared up then Twitter-bruker Aesthetic Gamer posted four photos from what was supposed to be a new Silent Hill. The pictures showed, among other things, a dilapidated house and a kind of fearsome creature, but they did not stay up long.

After only a few hours, they were replaced with with the text «This image has been removed after it was reported by the copyright holder». Apparently, Konami, which owns the rights to Silent Hill, had had them removed. At the time of writing, they are admittedly still on Reddit.

Aesthetic Gamer is reportedly sitting on even more information, which the user is not ready to reveal yet. However, everything comes from a seemingly reliable source, who could tell that the leaked pictures were from 2020. In other words, the game may look different today.

Renovation and new games

Monday night there was more commotion, then NateTheHate2 took to Twitter to report what he had heard about Konami’s Silent Hill plans.

He said first and foremost that The Medium creator Bloober Team is working on a new version of Silent Hill 2. This is said to have overhauled puzzles, new endings and will be temporarily console exclusive for PlayStation.

He further claimed that Konami has several Silent Hill projects underway, including a brand new main game, and several side jumps.

VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb then confirmed that all of this agrees with what he has heard from several different sources. According to Grubb, Konami was originally supposed to reveal much of this already during E3 last year, before the developer withdrew.

This is just the latest case of one long line of hints and leaks about the future of Silent Hills. Konami continues to hold the cards close to its chest, and when the developer possibly plans to reveal something is uncertain.
