In Rotterdam there were again two explosions in the night from Monday to Tuesday. Around 3.45 am there was an explosion at a porch on the Eric Kropstraat in the Feijenoord district. Around the same time, local residents heard a bang at a business premises in the Joost van Geelstraat in the Delfshaven district. There are no casualties.
The door of the porch houses on Erik Kropstraat is damaged. One or more scooters may have been involved in the incident, the police said. A fire broke out at the building in Joost van Geelstraat, but according to the police, the damage was limited.
An investigation has been launched at both locations and witnesses are being called to report. If recordings have been made of the incidents, these can be submitted to the police.
The Rotterdam region has been dealing with a large number of explosions in recent months. This year there were already more than fifty explosions, which is more than in the whole of last year. The explosions are linked to quarrels in the drug environment.
