(dj) After an alleged shoplifting on Saturday evening in a LIDL in Rowentastrasse, a certain eyewitness is being sought. Around 9 p.m., two suspected thieves were caught in the exit area by market employees. The witness had previously been able to observe how the duo apparently stowed various items in a backpack they were carrying and then passed the checkout area without paying for the goods. The unknown whistleblower shared his observations with the employees so that they could stop the suspects and the police were able to temporarily arrest the men aged 37 and 30 a little later. After police action, the suspected shoplifters were released. The communicator and other witnesses are asked to contact the police on 069 8098-5100.
2. Bicycle thief caught and fled – Offenbach
(jm) An unknown person who was caught by a witness early Thursday morning trying to steal a pedelec at the Starkenburgring fled without taking anything. At around 2.10 a.m., the thief, who was wearing a white shirt, entered the area around the 20 house numbers via a property on Arndstrasse. He then levered open the bike lock and took the high-quality pedelec with him. The corpulent man with cropped hair was about to push the pedelec off the property when he was disturbed by the witness and immediately ran off in the direction of Arndstrasse. 3. Parked Skoda Superb damaged in hit-and-run accident – Dietzenbach
(dj) A previously unknown driver caused damage of around 15,0000 euros to a Skoda Superb parked in Tannenstraße (single-digit house numbers) on Friday afternoon. Around 2:50 p.m., the stranger probably brushed the left side of the black Skoda when driving past and then got out of the way. According to initial findings, the vehicle responsible for the accident could be a BMW. The escape investigators ask witnesses to call 06183 91155-0.

1. Hit and run in a supermarket parking lot – Hanau
(jm) Within ten minutes on Tuesday afternoon, a hit-and-run occurred in the parking lot of a supermarket in the street “Kinzigbogen”, in which a parked Renault Clio was hit. Between 12:55 p.m. and 1:05 p.m., the person who caused the accident probably hit the rear right side of the red car when parking or leaving and then got out of the way. The perpetrators levered open a door to the boiler room and apparently then tried in vain to get into the branch’s premises. Therefore, the strangers broke off their plan and fled without booty.
