Receives Rp 2 billion in aid, South Sumatra Police Chief: This is the Akidi Effect

The United Palembang Chinese Community (MTPB) handed over assistance worth Rp. 2 billion to the South Sumatra (Sumsel) Police Chief Inspector General Eko Indra Heri. The assistance was given to the affected people of South Sumatra pandemic COVID-19.

“Alhamdulillah, today we received assistance from extraordinary friends, the United Palembang Chinese Community Association,” said Inspector General Eko in his remarks, Friday (6/8/2021).

“I really appreciate it tremendously. In the midst of we are facing shocks here and there, ladies and gentlemen, you are still thinking about the people of South Sumatra without fear of being misled by me,” he continued.

The assistance worth Rp 2 billion provided was in the form of 150 tons of oxygen, 150 tons of rice, 1,250 tons of rapid antigen test kit, and other items.

Inspector General Eko joked that now he is afraid if he receives help. He touched on the issue of assistance from Akidi Tio.

“Because with yesterday’s incident, sometimes when you receive help you are a little scared. Is this hoax again and so on? Apparently I see not hoax. This is a car really and rice really,” he said.

He says there is wisdom in every event. He suspected that the assistance he received for the people of South Sumatra had an effect Akidi Tio.

He thanked those who helped the people of South Sumatra in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Every event must have a wisdom. Today God manifests that wisdom. Realizes the secret of what happened yesterday. This I think Akidi effect, the effect of the late Mr. Akidi,” he said.

At the same location, the Head of the South Sumatran Chinese Clan Social Association (PSMTI), Kurmin Halim, said that this assistance was aimed at people in Palembang and South Sumatra.

“We leave everything to the Regional Police Chief. Later, he and his team and staff will arrange the arrangements. Hopefully it can be useful and help the people of Palembang,” said Kurmin.

On Tuesday (3/8), the South Sumatra Police also received assistance of 150 tons of rice. The aid, which is packaged in 30,000 packages, will be distributed to communities affected by COVID-19.

The social assistance was given directly by the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation symbolically in the backyard of the South Sumatra Police Headquarters.

“This is the umpteenth time we have received assistance from friends of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation. This time there are 30,000 packages with a total of 150 tons of rice distributed to people affected by COVID-19,” said South Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Eko Indra Heri, Tuesday (3/03). 8).
