The long awaited day had arrived. Mauro, a 33-year-old young man who lives in Buenos Aires, took the bus to Córdoba full of dreams and illusions. But once in the city, on March 19, he learned of the decision of the national government that decreed mandatory quarantine from the following day (the date of your defense). For fear of not being able to return home, that same night he took a ticket and returned, believing that the possibility of receiving it had disappeared.
But at 8.30 on Friday the 20th, as soon as he returned home, a call from the tutor of the Advocacy changed his face: they proposed to keep the appointment scheduled but instead of attending in person, they offered to do it via Zoom. Despite the fatigue and anguish of several hours, Mauro accepted, prepared and at 1:03 pm he joined a conference with the tribunal on his degree thesis.
The exam included the formalities of the case to prove the identity of the young man, who was performing more than 600 km away. Likewise, the presentation was recorded as proof of its existence and, in addition to the court, there were 21st century supervising the act so that it did not incur any illegality.
Mauro performed well and in this way became the first Lawyer graduate to present his final work virtually.
