– Crazy, crazy morning. I got a call from someone who happened to pass my car. He said two panes were cracked.
This is how Bjørn David Fevåg begins a Facebook post on Friday afternoon. Fevåg, best known as the magician Davido, had held one of his famous magic shows in the 90s, before he had packed his things and parked his car right near Voksen skole in Oslo.
In front of Dagbladet, the popular magician elaborates:
– I received a phone call from a fellow who had seen my car and looked up the registration number on the car. He could tell that several windows were broken, says Davido when Dagbladet calls.
Leave the most important thing behind
His mind quickly turned to all the magical things he had left in the car.
– I first thought about the magic equipment and some secret things that are in the car. There are things there that you can’t just go to the store and buy. You immediately start to imagine what could be missing, says the magician from Ski.
The sight that greeted him when he arrived at the place where the car was parked shocked him.

– There were two panes that were powdered, it didn’t look good. There were shards of glass both inside and outside the car.
According to Davido, all the keys he kept in the car were gone. Keys to various warehouses and to the farm where the animals he uses in his shows live.
– All the keys were taken. Luckily I didn’t have my private key there.
– Dejected, despairing and afraid
The perpetrators had also dealt with the back of the car.
– A pile of decks, marbles, scarves, handkerchiefs had fallen out. It was lying there in chaos together with shards of glass from the window.
– It was a great relief to see that the thieves had not taken it with them. Although it has no value to anyone but me, these are things I use on a daily basis in my job, he continues.

At first glance, the car may look like a typical craftsman car. Davido assumes the thieves have been looking for tools.
– The uncertainty is the worst. From the time I got the phone, until I got to the car. Then many thoughts run through your head.
– What kind of thoughts?
– I am pragmatic and think that I have not done anything about things that have already happened, but it is clear that I am disappointed, despairing and afraid of what could have happened.
– Do you have any impression that there are people who know you who want to do this to you?
– I have a personal license plate with “Davido” on it, but I never park the car with the Davido plates on it. But no, I probably don’t think so.

Fortunately for the perpetrators, they were not met by rabbits and pigeons in the car.
– They should be happy about that. They were in for a real surprise, laughs the magician.
After spending the day both changing the route, talking to the insurance company and a trip to the workshop, Davido will now consider reporting the relationship.
On Saturday morning, the magician states that he has discovered that several things have been stolen from the car. Both a loudspeaker, a cloth bag with shoes and a floppy hat have been stolen. But worst of all, a ventriloquist doll is gone.
– This must be reconstructed and made from specimens I must try to find. There is nothing like it, says Davido.
