The Balearics will receive next week a “Record batch” of vaccines, specifically 49,000 doses of Pfizer and AstraZeneca, according to the forecasts of the Ministry of Health.
The Minister of Health, Patricia gomez, announced this Tuesday that the Balearic Islands expects to receive 24,000 doses from Pfizer and 25,000 from AstraZeneca, which will allow it to administer some 7,000 daily doses throughout the week if doses arrive “as planned.”
Gómez has indicated that this game will allow the vaccination of the group over 80 years of age to be completed and to begin with the range 70 to 79 years. The councilor recalled that on holidays all vaccination spaces will remain open. In this sense, it has also confirmed that the Manacor Racetrack will open before April 12, although there is still no specific date.
Currently, 154,651 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in the Balearic Islands and 44,423 people are already immunized.
