BOLASPORT.COM – The second round of the Spain Masters 2023 ended with seven players and pairs from Indonesia winning.
The number one men’s doubles pair, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, were one of the contestants who won at the Centro Deportivo Municipal Gallur, Madrid, Thursday (30/3/2023).
Fajar/Rian went through quite a difficult match against the non-seeded pair, Anders Sondergaard/Jesper Toft from Taiwan.
How come the speed is different from the 2023 All England Open.
“Shuttlecock here it is very fast, so it is difficult to adjust the rhythm of the game and it is difficult to bring it to a rally,” said Fajar in an official statement from PBSI.
“Of course shuttlecock here it is very different from at the All England, so it is very difficult to manage, but we try to keep adapting,” said Rian.
Fajar/Rian trailed by five points in the second game interval but recovered to seal the match in two straight games.
Fajar/Rian’s steps were followed by Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan who were also able to overcome their opponents via rubber.
The women’s singles player, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, also managed to escape a difficult match.
