Recap of Indonesia Open 2021 – Three Indonesian Representatives to the Semifinals

The men’s doubles pair, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, after winning in the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open 2021 at the Bali International Convention Center, Nusa Dua, Bali, Friday (11/26/2021).

BOLASPORT.COM – As many as three host representatives have secured tickets for the semi-finals after winning the match on the third day Indonesia Open 2021.

Of the six red and white representatives who competed in the quarter-finals, three players managed to win the match which was held at the Bali International Convention Center, Nusa Dua, Bali, Friday (11/26/2021).

The three players are Jonatan Christie (men’s singles), Greysia Polii/APriyani Rahayu (women’s doubles) and Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo (men’s doubles).

Jonatan Christie as the first player of the team Indonesia who ensured themselves in the semifinals of this Super 1000 level badminton tournament.

He managed to qualify after the third seed from Denmark, Anders Antonsen, withdrew due to injury.

The second representative is Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu. They escaped after a fierce duel against representatives of Japan, Mayu Matsumoto / Ayako Sakuramoto.

The second seed pair succeeded in arresting Matsumoto/Sakuramoto through three games with a final score of 21-16, 12-21, 21-18.

Meanwhile, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo as the last representatives of Indonesia also got a difficult victory.
