“Oregano rubbed” from the spice manufacturer Fuchs could be contaminated with an undesirable plant substance! That is why Teuto Markenvertrieb GmbH and Fuchs Foodservice GmbH are recalling the product.
The spice was offered in several versions at different trading companies, said a spokeswoman on Tuesday. The companies concerned had already taken the goods out of sale as a precaution.
The recall affects 250-gram packs with a production date of June 25, 2019 and a best before date until the end of 2023.
These could accidentally get into herbs when harvesting. Some types of plants form PA to protect themselves from natural predators.
If consumed in large quantities, they could harm health, the spokeswoman warned. Due to the possible health risk, customers should pay attention to the recall and never consume the product.
