The supplier Heiploeg International B.V. recalls shrimp tails that have been sold at Aldi Nord. The “Natur” variety of the frozen product “Gourmet Fruits de Mer King Prawns Prawn Tails” with an expiration date of 03/01/2022 is affected. This emerges from customer information.

Shrimp Recall: Veterinary drug residues found
In the course of an investigation, residues of the veterinary drug chloramphenicol were found in a sample of giant prawn tails. It is an antibiotic. The shrimp should not be consumed due to the find, the message says.
Aldi asks its customers to return the frozen product to one of the branches. The purchase price will be reimbursed. The item affected by the recall has been removed from the sale. Other batches of the article than those mentioned are not affected.
