REC Silicon resumes manufacturing facility in Moses Lake.

Rec Silicon gave an update on Thursday evening on the successful restart of its manufacturing facility in Moses Lake, USA.

The start-up process began in late October and early November, and Rec Silicon is moving forward with the initial systems necessary to ramp up the manufacturing process. The Silane III unit has been commissioned and production of the first granular polysilicon is now underway. The company plans to gradually increase capacity to achieve full availability of granular polysilicon by the fourth quarter of 2024.

The company is looking at opportunities to consider accelerating the plan and pace of the previously communicated increase while maintaining stability, with a focus on continuous improvement of the product.

CEO, Kurt Levens, emphasizes the company’s commitment to stability and increased capacity utilization. As is known, the company aims to start deliveries of high-purity granular polysilicon in the first quarter of 2024, with further details to be presented during the quarterly results update in February.
