According to her, there is already good news in the defense industry – the United States has managed to significantly increase the production of weapons and ammunition, for example, almost doubling the production of 155 mm caliber shells.
She also added that European countries have also managed to increase production.
She noted that in many European countries, defense enterprises have switched to round-the-clock operation and are using “very creative and innovative approaches” in order to “replenish the reserves of NATO armies, which have been reduced, and provide Ukraine with everything it needs.”
Let us recall that yesterday the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, Carsten Breuer, stated the need to eliminate shortcomings in the preparation of the German Armed Forces for the defense of the country and NATO.
He noted that the days before the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine will not return and Germany will have to get used to the idea that “one day we may have to fight a defensive war.”
