The expedition to South America started successfully. 15-year-old Czech tennis player Brenda Fruhvirtová defeated Dutch Eva Vedderová 6: 2 and 6: 4 at the Chilean event in Colina. She managed to take revenge from the September defeat, which ended her streak of 27 straight wins.
The youngest of the Fruhvirt sisters began her journey to the top 100 when she won the top 15 points in the rankings at the WTA 125 tournament. In it, she will move to at least 130th place.
After an awkward start, when both players were losing their serve, the Czech got into gear and swept the opponent 6: 2 away. The main players prepared a more balanced battle for the second set, which was until the last moment, and only thanks to a fierce defense Fruhvirtová converted the match point and won the second set 6: 4.
In addition to Colina’s business, the 15-year-old Czech tennis player plans to open two other businesses in South America, one in Argentina and the other in Uruguay.
