Rebel Wilson described her accusations against actor Sacha Baron Cohen – Publinews – 2024-04-03 23:28:18

The conflict between Australian actress Rebel Wilson and Sacha Baron Cohen continues, as there are just a few days left before the release of the Pitch Perfect star’s memoirs.

For several days now, Wilson has revealed that he will describe, in a complete chapter of his book, all the abuse he experienced at the hands of the 52-year-old British actor.

Through a post on Instagram, the Australian pointed out that she has received pressure from the Borat protagonist’s press team not to release her book with the accusations she promises to reveal.

“Now the idiot is trying to threaten me. He has hired a crisis public relations manager and lawyers. He’s trying to keep the press from getting word about my new book. But the book will come out and everyone will know the truth.”

New revelations from Rebel Wilson

A few days after the official launch of the book, the actress described her problems with the actor during an interview with the newspaper, The Times:

“It’s one thing for someone who is fat to exploit their size for comedy, but it’s another thing for someone else to humiliate you,” he said.

She added that her wardrobe for the film was chosen to “show all the cellulite on my thighs and a top to show off the fattest part of my arm… as if it were something to laugh at and demean because of my size.”

Wilson was asked to run naked across a football field for a scene and when the actress refused, a stripper was hired and asked to watch on a monitor.

The actress refers to the year 2016, when they recorded the film, “The Brothers Grimsby.”

Variety recalls an interview with the actress and comedian, where she points out that she felt some harassment from the British actor during the filming of the film.

When it came time to film the final scene of “Grimsby,” in the radio interview Wilson claimed that Baron Cohen asked him, “Put your finger up my ass.” But when she pointed out that she wasn’t in the script, she claimed he said, “Look, I’ll take my pants down, just stick your finger in my butt, it’ll be a really fun part.”

Given the first accusations, the actor’s press team denied Wilson’s claims, calling them false:

“While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive and detailed evidence, including contemporary documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during, and after the production of ‘The Brothers Grimsby

Despite these controversies, the autobiography, titled “Rebel Rising”, is generating expectations and is scheduled for release on April 2.
