He scared us Dylan in the final in Houston, and the minutes that passed between his crash and his evacuation by the medical staff were endless! More fear than harm one would be tempted to say, the staff having taken all the precautions because he was knocked out after this violent shock at the exit of the whoops section. Then in a fight with Ken Roczen, the Yamaha #14 touched the rear of the Suzuki on the last bump before a right curve throwing Dylan violently on the ground. Later in the evening he posted a reassuring message on social networks, but he will have to pass other medical examinations before he can get back on his bike.
The stoppage of the race gave rise to an unprecedented starting procedure (for my part, I had never seen this in some 45 GP seasons) since the drivers were lined up one behind the other in the order of the classification before stopping the race. We then released them on the track one behind the other, the rest you know!
Dylan’s message: ” I’m Ok after my crash in the final, I hit my head first and lost consciousness for a few minutes…. The rest is fine and I am now OK. I will now follow the protocol after a traumatic brain injury and we will see when I can ride again. Sorry… Many thanks to the medical staff«
