President Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky rate the city in IsraelJerusalem, is a suitable place for negotiations to end the war between his country and Russia.

The presumption arose because Israel was judged to have good diplomatic relations with the two conflicting countries.

Zelensky added that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has so far tried to mediate the conflict in Eastern Europe.

Israel has maintained complicated security cooperation with Russia, which has troops in Syria, across Israel’s northern border. He was also aware of the relationship between Israel and Russia, which he said had its own interests.

“We are grateful for each of these efforts. So in the future or another time, we can start talks with Russia, maybe in Jerusalem. This (Jerusalem) is the right place to seek peace, if possible,” Zelensky was quoted as saying. AFPTuesday (22/3).

“Of course, Israel has its own interests and defense strategies for its citizens. We understand all of this,” he added.

Zelensky is currently also adamant that he wants to hold a meeting of any kind with Russian President, Vladimir Putin. Zelensky believes the only way to end Russia’s aggression against his country that has lasted more than three weeks is through negotiations and negotiations with Putin.

The polemic between Russia and Ukraine has not abated since Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an order for a military operation in the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine on Thursday (24/2). The two countries even continued to seek negotiations through a series of live talks or via video links, but were still deadlocked.

“I believe without this meeting it is impossible to fully understand what will make them (Russia) ready to stop the war,” Zelensky said.

Zelensky continued that Ukraine was actually able to face the Russian attack and strike back. However, for him, self-respect will not save lives. So, he will take the option of negotiation.

Until now, fighting and explosions are still happening in a number of cities in Ukraine. According to a UN report, the death toll from the aggression was nearly 850 people and the displaced population has exceeded 3.3 million.

Meanwhile, according to Ukrainian government data, the death toll from the Russian invasion has reached 2,000 people, including 900 civilians.
