TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Xiaomi is releasing laptops globally RedmiBook 15 in Indonesia. Country Director Xiaomi Indonesia Alvin Tse explained the reason why the laptop was first released in Indonesia.
Menurut Alvin Tse, Indonesia merupakan pasar yang penting bagi Xiaomi. “Populasinya besar, banyak anak mudanya, ada Mi Fans (penggemar produk Xiaomi) yang jumlahnya terbesar nomor tiga di dunia,” ujar dia dalam acara virtual, Kamis, 22 Juli 2021.
RedmiBook 15 merupakan laptop yang benar-benar baru, bahkan disebut Alvin Tse, di Cina pun di mana merek tersebut berasal, belum ada model laptop tersebut. “Ini benar-benar pertama di dunia.”
Selain itu, Alvin Tse juga menambahkan bahwa dirilisnya RedmiBook 15 bukan tanpa persiapan yang matang. Xiaomi sudah menyiapkan jaringan infrastruktur seperti service center yang sudah tersedia di berbagai wilayah.
“Indonesia is an attractive market. We are optimistic that this laptop will get good enthusiasm from users in Indonesia,” said Alvin.
Product Marketing Manager of Xiami Indonesia Calvin Nobel explained, RedmiBook 15 has a 15.6-inch FHD screen, equipped with antiglare display and DC Dimming. Also installed is a 720p high definition camera and dual microphones as well as 2W + 2W speakers with DTS Audio. “This makes meeting activities more comfortable.”
The laptop is supported by a combination of the new generation of CPU and GPU from Intel, the 11th Generation Intel Core which is 2.5x faster than the previous generation. GPU Intel UHD Graphics, which makes RedmiBook 15 ready to support users with maximum performance.
The battery with a capacity of 46Whr has a durability of up to 10 hours, plus a 65W adapter makes the laptop power chargeable in a short time. RedmiBook 15 is also light, weighing less than 2 kg with a thickness of 19.9 mm. “So it is easy to carry for work or study from various corners of the room at home,” said Calvin.
