Chairman of the Solo PDIP Branch Leadership Council (DPC) FX Hadi Rudyatmo rate Prananda Prabowo better suited to replace Megawati Soekarnoputri in the chair of the General Chair PDIP rather than Mrs. Maharani.
It is known that the issue of replacing Megawati as the chairperson of the PDIP has been sticking out for a long time. Names that come from the descendants of the Sukarno family are superior.
FX Rudy admitted that basically he was the champion of Puti Guntur, who is the grandson of Sukarno from the Guntur Soekarnoputra line.
“Biologically and ideologically, it should be Mbak Puti Guntur. I have to convey this, regardless of whether there are those who like it or don’t like it,” he said, Monday (12/4).
Rudy realized that Puti, who had failed when he ran for Deputy Governor of East Java, would be difficult for most PDIP cadres to accept.
Realistically, he also said that the strongest candidates were Puan and Prananda, who are the Chairperson of the DPP PDIP for Political and Security Affairs, as well as the DPP chairman for the UMKM, Creative Economy, and Digital Economy sectors.
He said that Puan appeared to the public more often and had experience in holding executive positions, namely the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, as well as the legislature, namely the Chair of the Indonesian Parliament.
Puan also appeared more frequently at official PDIP activities and public events. One of them is announcing the recommendation of the PDIP General Chairperson regarding the nomination of regional heads during the 2020 Regional Elections.

According to Rudy, it is natural for the public to think that the PDIP seems to be pushing for Puan as a replacement for Megawati. “But that’s just an impression. In the party they are both Chairman of the DPP,” he said.
Although he was less popular than Puan and never held public office, Prananda was considered more suitable to lead the party. The reason is that Prananda will be more focused on the party and be able to contribute more internally.
“In PDIP, public office is not the main thing. So far, he has had a career in the party and he has not done so many things except only fighting for PDIP,” he said.
Moreover, Rudy also considered that Prananda had the ability to improve the cadre economy. This is in line with his position as Chairman of the DPP in the fields of UMKM, Creative Economy, and Digital Economy.
Not only that, Rudy also believes that Prananda will be able to unite the PDIP under his leadership.
“At least if Mas Nanan (Prananda’s nickname) can hold the chairmanship of the PDIP, he should also be able to unite Indonesia from Sabang to Merauke. This is my prediction for the future,” he said.
