Social assistance (bansos) is the main weapon of the Jokowi administration to move the wheels of the domestic economy which was devastated by the corona virus pandemic.
The total funds disbursed for social assistance reached IDR 203.91 trillion. Unfortunately, the realization is still slow.
Government data shows that social assistance funds have been distributed only 48.8 percent of the total allocation as of August 7, 2020.
