Persebaya Surabaya officially rested Aji Santoso from the coach chair of the Bajul Ijo team, Friday (4/8) evening. Following are the reasons why Persebaya management rested Aji Santoso from the coaching chair.
Persebaya management has officially rested Aji Santoso as coach of the Bajul Ijo team.
This certainty was obtained after Persebaya issued an announcement via the club’s official website on Friday (4/8) evening.
In this release, the Persebaya management explained the reasons for removing Aji Santoso from the coaching chair.
“Another bad result, Persebaya management has laid off Aji Santoso,” wrote Persebaya in a release on official siteFriday (4/8).
“Persebaya’s management decided to rest head coach Aji Santoso, after another bad result at home, losing 1-2 to Persikabo 1973,” Persebaya wrote.
Persebaya management explained that the decision was made because Aji Santoso could not meet the target of seven points set in three matches, namely against Persikabo (4/8), Bhayangkara (8/8), and Persita (12/8).
“This decision was made because it was impossible for the team to meet the set target of seven points in three games,” said Persebaya management.
Furthermore, Persebaya management appointed Uston Nawawi as the temporary coach of the Bajul Ijo team.
“Management uses the next two matches, against Bhayangkara FC and Persita Tangerang to determine further options. In these two matches, the team will be led by coach Uston Nawawi,” Persebaya management said.
