A rear shock is behind the accident that occurred this afternoon on the expressway in Santa Cruz.
The crash, with some violence, dragged the car for more than 30 meters and caused injuries, in the cervical, thoracic and dorsal area, to the passenger traveling in the back seat of that same vehicle. The victim was immobilized while still inside the vehicle using the extraction vest for victims of road accidents by the Portuguese Red Cross team.
The driver of the crashed vehicle was also rescued and transported to the hospital by the Sapadores Firefighters of Santa Cruz, who had traumatic injuries to his neck and chest.
The accident generated a lot of apparatus on the spot, where the PSP attended to investigate the causes of the accident
