MANADO – realme, the brand of choice for young people, is holding a tour workshop photography entitled ‘realme Portrait Master Academy’ in various cities in Indonesia, one of which is Manado City on Monday (4/3/2024).
“realme Portrait Master Academy is here to be a forum for fans mobile photography, “especially young people in Manado to gain knowledge and experience about photography via smartphones with capabilities like a professional camera,” said PR Manager of realme Indonesia, Kelvin Christiandy Sutiono.
This activity brings two main programs, namely ‘Shot on realme Photography Contest’ which offers a total prize of up to IDR 30 million and ‘Master Class’ with experts in the field of photography.
For the Master Class in Manado City, realme brought in well-known travel vlogger Muhammad Shidiq or better known as backpackerkurus to share photography tips and tricks in the wild.
“Collaborating with the photography community in Manado, realme is holding interactive photography class sessions by presenting experts to help young people develop their photography talents,” said Kelvin.
In this series of events, realme showcased and tested directly the capabilities of the Portrait photo mode on the realme 12 Series 5G in the form of a photography workshop.
Approximately 30 people from the InstaNusantara community and media crew also had the opportunity to try the capabilities of the newest smartphone from realme, namely the realme 12 Pro+ 5G and realme 12+ 5G.

“Realme 12 Pro+ 5G will be a travel companion that will help you get photos that are clear, sharp and look professional,” said Shidiq, who has tried the smartphone’s capabilities while traveling.
“With the Periscope lens portrait 3 & 6x Zoom, I can get photos of the view of the white crater in Ciwidey with a different perspective and also a natural bokeh effect,” he continued.
Apart from the master class, realme also held a photography contest using realme smartphones. To be able to participate, young people can upload their best photos with themes that will be provided starting February 29 2024.
The same photo must also be uploaded to Instagram social media according to the theme provided, including the hashtag #realmePortraitMasterAcademy and the tag @realmeindonesia @realmecommunity.
As many as 20 best works according to the jury will be announced and will have the opportunity to become a realme Portrait Master and various other benefits.
The jury team for the ‘Shot on realme Photography Contest’ consists of several reliable Indonesian photographers such as Nareend, Her Journey, Danesaurus, and Backpakerkurus, as well as Ellen Zhou as Marketing Director of realme Indonesia.
There are prizes available in the form of IDR 10 million in cash and realme 12 Pro+ 5G for the first winner, then IDR 5 million and realme 12 Pro+ 5G for the second winner, then IDR 3 million and the next Number Series smartphone.
The next realme photography workshop tour will visit Medan on March 6, Surabaya on March 8, and Jakarta on March 9. (Fernando Rumetor)
