We are going to present you today a new team from the Realme brand that, by the way, was first launched in India, and is expected to reach various parts of the world little by little. We talk about Realme Narzo 30 5G, a team that comes with a 6.5-inch screen, a quite striking design, although what stands out most about it is its 5G support.
Of course, it should be noted that this terminal enters to compete with many other brands that are positioning themselves in the market as Xiaomi O LITTLE, who are your main rivals. Therefore, here we are going to describe in detail what this equipment offers, but also, we are going to make a comparison with one of the most TOP terminals of this 2021 in terms of quality / price ratio, and which is also from the brand Real me. We talk about Realme GT.
What we are looking for with this post is that you can conclude which of these two terminals is better. Although later we will tell you how we both have seemed and which one would we choose. So, stay tuned and let’s get started …
Features of the Realme Narzo 30 5G
First of all, this terminal as we have said comes with a 6.5-inch screen, with IPS technology and Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels). In addition, it supports a 90 Hz refresh rate which provides good image and animation quality.
The processor that gives life and movement to this device is the Dimensity 700 by MediaTek, which also comes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage expandable by micro SD of up to 1 TB.
With regard to the cameras section, as we do not have the cameras of a POCO X3 Pro or those of a Redmi Note 10 Pro, but still offer an acceptable photographic section. We have, for example, a 16 megapixel front placed in the upper left corner of the computer; while in the rear, we have a 48 megapixel main camera, a 2 megapixel monochrome sensor and a 2 megapixel macro sensor.
On the other hand, the team also comes with a 5000 mAh battery, which supports 18W fast charge. Obviously, it is not the fastest on the market, but in terms of autonomy it defends itself well. And as for what the software is, we have that this Realme Narzo 30 5G runs Android 11, but it is also complemented by the company’s own interface, Realme UI 2.0. Not bad, to tell the truth.
Finally, other details that we can mention about this team, is that it includes a fingerprint reader on the side, a 3.5mm headphone port, and the typical USB Type-C port.
Our impressions of this new terminal
Well, we are facing a terminal that, in terms of connectivity is excellent, but in terms of performance, it is not the best, although of course, does not disappoint. Not long ago, for example, the POCO firm launched its new terminal, the POCO M3 Pro, and this included the Dimensity 700. The speed of this processor is good, and as we said, it is not the best, but it is acceptable. What’s more, this chipset is too similar to the Snapdragon 662, so we can play with it.
Something that we did like about the team is its screen. We have 90 Hz refresh rate, and although we have an IPS panel, this one does not feel bad. To show a button we have at POCO X3 Pro, which we reviewed not long ago, which also has an IPS panel with a slightly higher refresh rate and we can tell you for sure that this is too good. Obviously, we are not in front of an AMOLED panel, but the 90 Hz gives a plus to the screen of this Realme Narzo 30 5G.
Now, in terms of photographic section, it must be said that it is not the best, but as we said in the previous section, it does not disappoint. However, we believe that the sensors that this new equipment incorporates are in line with its price, which we will tell you at the end.
By last, the autonomy of the mobile has seemed the most indicated. Gives for 2 days of use, under moderate use. We do not have a super fast charge, of course, but we believe that these 5000 mAh are sufficient compared to other devices on the market that offer smaller batteries.
Realme Narzo 30 5G Price
Well, this equipment as we have mentioned was first launched in India, but there is already a global version of it which you can get in different virtual stores such as AliExpress from a price that is around 160 € as of today, June.
Realme Narzo 30 5G Vs Realme GT
As we said at the outset, we are going to compare this Realme Narzo 30 5G with the new Realme GT, which also seems like a good, beautiful and novel device. In fact, the latter was also launched in this year 2021. Let’s start by reviewing some of the features that this Realme GT offers and compare them with those of the Narzo 30 5G.
Realme GT features and comparison
Let’s start talking about the design section. And is that this Realme GT is quite eye-catching, and you can find it in three finishes: one in bluish glass, another in navy blue, and another in a plastic material with a soft yellow and black texture. The truth is that this design is a bit more elaborate than that of the Narzo 30 5G, even in terms of the use of materials.
Now, let’s talk about the hardware, because compared to the Realme Narzo 30 5G, this Realme GT has a processor Snapdragon 888. A marvel of processor, in terms of operation, connectivity and performance. But, it also comes with 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage. That is, with this Realme GT, we have everything you need to run games of any style, simple or heavy, whatever.
On the other hand, we have a battery that lags behind compared to the Realme Narzo 30 5G. This is from only 4500 mAh. It is not a bad battery, but the equipment under moderate use will last a maximum of a day and a half on. Of course, we have fast charging of 65 W, and obviously the Realme GT in this regard has all the advantages over the Narzo 30 5G. The latter only has 18 W fast charging.
Regarding Software, we have the same on both computers: Android 11+ Realme UI 2.0. Not bad, because we have a completely customizable and fluid software. And this is something that we can confirm thanks to the previous revisions what we have done to brand teams Realme.
Let us now describe the screen of the Realme GT. This is clearly a tad smaller, 6.43 inches, with AMOLED technology, Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate and 409 PPI. It is clear that this screen is much better than the Realme Narzo 30 5G. Especially since we are in front of an AMOLED panel where the colors are brighter and the images are sharper.
In terms of photography, the Realme GT has a set of rear cameras with the 64 megapixel main, a 8 megapixel wide angle and a 2 megapixel macro… Are they better than the Realme Narzo 30 5G? Yes, indeed they are. But it is not that they offer a very beautiful and excellent quality photographic section. It’s good, but it’s not what we could get with a Samsung Galaxy A52 which also has a 64 megapixel main camera.
Finally, let’s talk about the unlocking methods and is that this Realme GT incorporates a fingerprint reader under the screen. Let’s remember the Narzo 30 5G, it incorporates it on the side. However, there is no denying that, on each team, both are fast.
Realme GT Price
This Realme GT can be obtained in different virtual stores such as AliExpress since 422 €. This is a team, clearly expensive, but we did not find it bad, since it also incorporates 5G support. Although of course, the Narzo 30 5G also incorporates this support, but it is much cheaper.
Which to choose?
Well, there is no doubt that the strongest point of the Realme GT is its hardware, since it offers power when playing video games and it is also a fairly fluid team. However, as we have seen, the Realme Narzo 30 5G also stands out in the gaming section, On the other hand, we have that the Narzo 30 5G has a refresh rate of 90 Hz that offers good image quality. Sure, the Realme GT is AMOLED, but the Narzo 30 5G is an IPS panel that is not bad either.
In terms of design, both teams are aesthetically beautiful, despite the fact that the materials with which they were designed are not the same. However, they stand out in terms of ergonomics, arrangement of elements, etc. In fact, something that we missed highlighting is that this Realme GT also incorporates the 3.5mm headphone port. Something that, in many teams today, especially in the high-end, is already being omitted.
On the other hand, the Realme Narzo 30 5G battery seemed better than the Realme GT. Sure, there is a difference when it comes to fast charging. That of the GT is much faster, worth the redundancy. However, what we are most interested in is that the team has good autonomy. Therefore, we liked the 5000 mAh that the Narzo 30 5G offers more.
Now if we had to choose we personally would build the Realme Narzo 30 5G, for being much cheaper and having 5G support. Compared to the Realme GT, there are definitely palpable differences. However, there are more similarities, for example in terms of image quality, unlocking methods, software and connectivity.
Obviously, if you are looking for a team that offers better performance, then the Realme GT is a good option. It’s just a matter of paying a little more.
Finally, we leave a comparative table that will allow you to see more clearly the difference between both devices …
