Reported from detikINET, President of Realme International Business Group, Madhav Sheth said that Realme GT 3 has been launched in China under the name GT Neo5. He claims this phone is the first cellphone to have a 240W charger.
In addition, GT Neo5 also brings a breakthrough by adopting a transparent RGB lighting system design that brings trends in terms of display design and technology.
“Realme will present 240W fast charging technology and a transparent RGB design to the global market through a smartphone with the name Realme GT 3, which will also be present in Indonesia. This innovation breakthrough will provide a new standard of charging in a fast-paced era, as well as a new perspective on visuals. from the performance sector. This step also makes Realme the first smartphone brand that dares to translate the concept of technology into mass products so that everyone can immediately feel it,” he said.
To reach the maximum power of the 240W charger, the GT Neo5 requires a special cable with a maximum current of 12A, as well as a dual GaN (gallium nitride) mini charger. The application of dual GaN is necessary so that the size of the charger on the cellphone is relatively small. If not applied, the size of the charger will be very large.
In addition, Realme also promises to equip the charger with 60 layers of protection, and is TUV Rheinland certified for battery life. It maintains 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles.
Realmi GT Neo5 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip that uses 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 1TB of storage. The screen is 6.74 inch AMOLED with a refresh rate of 144Hz.
On the back of the phone there are three cameras, namely a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The 16MP selfie camera is stored in the punch hole at the top center of the screen.
With the use of 240W of power, the 4,600 mAh battery used by the Realme GT Neo5 can be charged from empty to 20% in 80 seconds, 50% in 4 minutes, 100% in less than 10 minutes. This phone is also capable of accepting standard VOOC or SuperVOOC charging via its USB-C port.
The RGB LED found in the Realme GT Neo5 functions as a notification light and the color can be adjusted as desired. For example, it will glow red when the battery power is below 20%, and so on.
In China, the Realme GT Neo5 is priced starting at USD 470 or IDR 7 million for the 16GB/256GB variant, and USD 515 for the 16GB/1TB variant. For the color, there are three color choices, namely white, black, purple.
