Realme has been presenting the market with some very interesting proposals in 2021, especially with the Realme GT, one of the best quality/price ratio smartphones currently on the market. Realme’s bet on this line of smartphones is very strong, as it already has four variants, two of which were recently presented in China and should arrive in Europe soon.
However, this success of the company from the BBK Electronics group is leading to other less successful lines having their future compromised, as the objective will be to monetize the models with the best results in the market. And so, according to the Tech Radar, the Realme X line will be cancelled.

For the past two years, the ‘X’ line has been Realme’s top line, with the X2, X2 Pro and X50 and X50 Pro models standing out as some of the most interesting that the company has brought us to reach Europe. . Its successors, the X7 and X7 Pro were never made available on the old continent, being only available in India.

Now, Madhav Sheth, CEO of the manufacturer, has confirmed to the Tech Radar that line X will be discontinued, with priority given to line GT. “A (line) X will be replaced by GT; that’s why the (line) GT is the new X”, said the executive. Sheth says, however, that only the X line will be discontinued, keeping all the other models of the manufacturer, which compete mainly in the mid-range market.
As for the decision to end the Realme X series, it is easily justified by the lack of hype around your surroundings. With the company’s difficulty in appealing to consumers, it was necessary to change to a new name and philosophy that has worked in China, India and Europe.
Thus, it will be curious to follow the new focus on the Realme GT and its variants, which will now be the manufacturer’s main focus on the market mobile.
