Sky Lee, founder and CEO of Realme, announced that this year the company will re-market the brand through its new slogan, “Make it real.” He added: “The company aims to become a technology brand that understands young people better.” Within the framework of this new direction, the company will focus on making the Realme series of devices a leader in the field of photography in the future. This media event is Realme’s first official communication after its remarketing.
Ghada Yahya, Director of Public Relations and Communications in the Middle East and North Africa region, said that Realme’s new slogan “Make it real” reflects the company’s commitment to providing innovative technology products that meet the needs of young people, in continuation of what Realme started through the spirit of its slogan “Dare to Leap.” She added: “Realme always strives to provide innovative technical products, while preserving youthful energy, and is always interested in sharing its values and aspirations with young users. We also seek to enable young people around the world to enjoy technical experiences that exceed expectations.”
Superior imaging technology to empower youth
Realme research shows that young people prefer telephoto lenses with 3X zoom or more rather than 2X zoom, which provides more detailed images of distant scenes. This technology is only available in periscope lenses and is subject to technical complications and high costs, which makes it exclusive to leading phones. However, Realme seeks to bridge this gap by providing remote photography technology exclusive to leading phones, available to a wider audience of young people.
Realme has developed an exclusive periscopic remote imaging technology to ensure high quality under different conditions, and introduced this technology for the first time in the Realme GT5 Pro, which was launched in November 2023. This technology has put the realme GT5’s imaging performance at the forefront in the industry. The upcoming Realme 12 Pro series will rely on the same approach, combining a leading sensor size, a high-performance platform, and an advanced algorithm to achieve superior imaging performance.
The best telephoto lens in its class
The Realme 12 Pro series enhances the clarity and stability of night shots while reducing glare and ghosting. This is achieved through a unique combination of Prism Tilt OIS, Sub-Wavelength Structure Coating, and Wave Pattern Lens Shade, technologies also used in the GT5 Pro . It features a 3X zoom portrait mode with a golden focal length of 71mm, which creates a natural depth depth ideal for portraits. In addition, the Realme 12 Pro series outperforms its class in telephoto capabilities, offering digital zoom of up to 120X.
Largest telephoto lens sensor
The Realme 12 Pro series features the largest telephoto lens sensor in this category, featuring the flagship OV64B sensor, which outperforms its competitors and is in line with other flagship phones. At 1/2 inch, it’s more than two times larger than the iPhone 15 Pro’s telephoto lens sensor. Thanks to its larger aperture and enhanced light absorption, the Realme 12 Pro series’ telephoto lens is three times more sensitive to light than the iPhone 15 Pro lens.
Full optical imaging capabilities with large zoom
The Realme 12 Pro main camera features a Sony IMX890 OIS sensor, which enhances night photography. This sensor has a large 1/1.56-inch size, a 24mm equivalent focal length, and a wide aperture of f/1.8, making it well-suited for night photography. With OIS support, it excels in providing stable video recording and improving photo success rate. In addition, the Realme 12 Pro series features a periscope telephoto lens camera and an ultra wide-angle lens. It offers 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x and 6x zoom capabilities, which provides a complete and perfectly focused optical imaging experience comparable to that available in leading devices.
Exclusive customization of the MasterShot algorithm
Realme, in cooperation with Qualcomm, a specialist in the field of communications, has improved its image processing using the MasterShot algorithm. The realme 12 Pro series is the first and only one in its class to support raw image processing, resulting in cinematic images with high clarity, dynamic range and realism.
The next generation MasterShot Omni-Focal algorithm is an advanced imaging technology available in flagship phones that offer the most advanced computational photography techniques in the industry. It combines a LightFusion Engine for improved clarity and tone, and a NightEye Engine for superior night photography. It also features a unique cinematic portrait effect, making it easier to take more beautiful portraits.
The Realme 12 Pro series aims to meet the needs of young people by offering advanced photography experiences and elegant designs. To achieve this, Realme collaborated with Olivier Savio, a luxury watch design expert, to create innovative designs for the Realme 12 Pro watches.
The realme 12 Pro series is expected to be available in Egypt soon. In addition to advanced technologies in photography and design, the Realme 12 Pro series features many other attractive features.
