1. Review of Realme 12 Pro+, Mid-Range HP Intends to Use a Periscope Camera 2. Flagship-style camera, but needs a lot of improvements
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Realme 12 Pro Plus was released in Indonesia today, Thursday (29/2/2024). Realme 12 Pro Plus is claimed to be the first smartphone in the mid-range segment to feature a flagship class periscope telephoto lens.
The superior camera features are Portrait 3x and Super Zoom 120x. Apart from the camera aspect, the realme 12 Pro Plus cellphone also received improvements from the previous series, namely in terms of the chipset and design.
The chipset uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor which is built on 4nm processing. Meanwhile, in terms of design, this cellphone is wrapped in premium vegan leather which offers a ‘luxury’ impression, and is dust and dirt resistant.
Before it was released, CNBC Indonesia tried out the Realme 12 Pro Plus for playing social media, watching movies, playing games, listening to music and so on.

Flagship Class Design and Screen

Realme 12 Pro+
Realme 12 Pro Plus presents a more luxurious design change compared to the previously released model. In the camera design, for example, in this series they have a circular rear camera module which is quite prominent with a design like a luxury watch.
The back is covered in premium vegan leather. This leather layer makes the cellphone feel comfortable when held even though its size is quite large. This design also provides a sense of security because the cellphone does not feel slippery when carrying it even without the silicon case that comes in the sales box.
Turning to the front, the realme 12 Pro Plus uses a 6.7 inch OLED curved screen with thin bezels. The screen offers an optimal visual experience with a resolution of 2412 x 1080 FHD+, 1.07 billion colors, a touch sampling rate of 240Hz, and an instant sampling rate of up to 2000Hz. The curved screen is protected by secondary 0.55mm tempered glass.
In our experience, the realme 12 Pro Plus curved screen is quite comfortable to use for long periods of time, such as watching films, series, or playing games, because our eye view becomes wider and more spacious.

Realme 12 Pro+
The build quality and overall impression of this cellphone is quite solid for us. The only complaint is the position of the fingerprint reader. This feature is fast and responsive, but it is located too close to the bottom edge of the screen. So it’s a bit awkward to reach with your thumb when holding the phone normally.
