Andrea Constand (48) has given her first TV interview after abuse convict Bill Cosby (84) was abruptly released from prison.

In a TV teaser for the interview, which will be broadcast in its entirety on NBC on Tuesday, Constand expresses disbelief about the outcome of the case.
– I was really shocked. Really shocked. And disappointed, says Constand in the clip, mentioned by among others Deadline.
It was in June that a Pennsylvania Supreme Court decided to overturn Bill Cosby’s assault sentence – and release him two years after he was convicted and caged inside for having doped down and abused Constand in 2004.
The court concluded that Cosby did not have a fair trial. Thus, this summer the comedian could walk out like a free man.
Now, two months later, Constand is speaking out in front of the camera – in a conversation with reporter Kate Snow. When asked by Snow what she thinks the release says about the US judiciary, Constand answers.
– That it has flaws and shortcomings.

Kate Snow has shared a photo of the interviewee sit on Twitter. There, the reporter Constand quotes several statements from the TV interview – quotes that show that the alleged abuse victim, regardless of the outcome, is happy she took the case to court.
– I have come too far to go back to when I asked myself if it was worth it – or if I regretted something. It was worth it, concludes Constand, who this week is also publishing a book with his story.
In recent years, more than 50 women have stood up and accused Cosby of assault which dates back to the 1960s, but it is only the allegations of Constand which have led to indictment.
Cosby was originally sentenced to between three and ten years in prison.
The news of the release struck like a bomb, and the reactions were strong from the women who has accused the faded star of abuse.
However, the 83-year-old has always denied guilt in the indictment against him.
Cosby’s spokesman Andrew Wyatt stated after his release that Cosby is already in the process of making a documentary series about himself, where the turbulence of recent years around allegations of abuse, lawsuits and convictions must be central.
Not only that – Cosby is planning too to make a comeback on the standup stage. His apparatus is said to have contacted a number of organizers and comedy clubs, who are allegedly open to the idea of letting him go.
Cosby started his career as a stand-up comedian at clubs around the United States, and was previously considered one of the world’s most popular celebrities and an icon in his genre.
He released a number of comedy albums, and in 1965 distinguished himself as the first colored actor in a TV drama (“I Spy”) – which resulted in a number of awards. Several other TV successes followed, including children’s TV. Most famous is “The Cosby Show”, which ran from 1984-1992.
