After her husband disappears, Sue gets buttons (Allison Janney), an underappreciated suburban wife, a taste of what it’s like to be a local celebrity when she goes in search of him. The matter quickly grows over her head as she has to avoid police officers, criminals and reporters who are all out to uncover the truth. Sue, overlooked for so long, goes to undue efforts to extend her “15 Minutes of Fame” and prevent this truth from emerging.
