The assault on reality star Tamara Elbaz in Zuid this Monday was a targeted action. The police confirmed this. The 42-year-old Elbaz, known from the series Real Housewives of Amsterdamwas attacked by two teenagers on Monday morning and suffered injuries to her head and other areas.
Elbaz’s son witnessed the assault, she says on Instagram. Bystanders managed to prevent the suspects, aged 15 and 17, from escaping.
“At one point there were so many people on the move who managed to surround the perpetrators that I don’t know who to thank,” said Elbaz.
Elbaz says she is in shock by the abuse and does not know why she was attacked: “I am receiving a lot of guidance and also security from today, so things are going well under the circumstances.”
The teenagers have been arrested and will be brought before the examining magistrate today. A police spokesperson emphasizes that bystanders acted well by preventing the boys from escaping. “That did not happen without a fight.”
