Dusty Taconis from Hoofddorp, known from the reality TV series ‘Ex on the Beach’, can walk again after a serious scooter accident in Zandvoort. His family writes this on his company’s Instagram account. Two weeks ago, the reality star fell into a coma as a result of the accident.

Last week, his sister indicated on the same Instagram account that he had multiple brain hemorrhages and major brain surgery. “He was on a ventilator and was in life-threatening condition,” she says in the emotional video message.
Now the family says that they have had an uncertain period. “The first days were crucial. You weren’t allowed to have extra bleeding and your brain bruises weren’t allowed to swell any further.”
‘Making contact difficult’
Taconis is getting better step by step, his family writes on Instagram. “Dusty can already stand and walk. He also sometimes says small words like ‘I love you’. He also asks about school assignments, which is very positive. That means he’s already thinking. But at other times it is difficult to make contact.”
The 23-year-old participant in ‘Ex on the Beach’ was seriously injured two weeks ago when he fell with his scooter in Zandvoort. The man was taken to the VU hospital in Amsterdam where, according to his family, he had to fight for his life. “Dusty is very strong. We only assume the positive,” his family wrote on Instagram after the accident.
